Letter Printing USPS NCOA (National Change of Address) Process

Letters to Mail orders now require you to run your recipient address information through the USPS National Change of Address (NCOA) Process.

What is the NCOA process?

NCOA is an official database of the United States Postal Service that helps improve delivery rates among people who have moved or changed addresses in the previous 48 months. Each time a US citizen moves and submits a change of address form to the post office, that change gets recorded in the NCOA database. Running your addresses through the NCOA process will automatically update addresses to their most accurate and up to date record and improve the chances of delivery. If an address is not found in the NCOA database or is deemed undeliverable, we will use the address you provide.

What happens to my list of addresses after they complete the USPS NCOA address process?
  • Each address that is successfully found in the NCOA database will be automatically updated to the most current USPS records, including the Zip+4. Each of these letter mailings will receive discounted Presort Commercial Postage Rates (see current rates below)
  • Each address that isn’t found in the NCOA database or deemed undeliverable will not be updated. We will use the address you provide, EXACTLY as you have it in in your address file. Each of these letter mailings will receive the Metered Postage Rates (see current rates below)
  • Once your order is complete, you will have the ability to download all of the updated address information from your Data Files storage on your “My Account” page, as well as the Order Details page
