Anyone with a website can
say they provide online security, but what does it actually mean to be a
safe website for online business?
Internet security is a constantly changing field, and we're working hard to keep your data safe.
1.
Bank-A-Count.com has a top of the line security certificate.
We moved from the industry standard level of 256 bit SSL/TLS security certificate to an 2048 bit Extended Validation SSL/TLS certificate so your
connection to our web server is more secure than ever before, making it nearly impossible for anyone to listen in on the conversation.
If you're using a newer web browser (IE 7/8, FireFox 3/3.5, or Opera 9.5+) you may also notice your address bar turn green when you enter the secure
section of our website. That's your browser declaring that we are a safe, known business. Our security certificate provider did an extensive background
check on our business to determine that we are, in fact, an established and trustworthy company. Move your mouse over the red triangle in the
bottom-right corner of your screen to learn more.
2.
Bank-A-Count is working to comply with bank-level security standards, even though we are not a bank.
Even if you're not a bank or a credit union, you benefit from our efforts to comply with
SAS70. We are also working to comply with the
Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standards (
PCI DSS) for added protection of your data.
3.
Information stored on Bank-A-Count's servers is encrypted.
Beyond securing your connection to our servers, we encrypt your stored data, so even if an intruder were able to break in, they would not be able to
use any stolen information.
